On the afternoon of September 17, 2023, a seminar on the revision of construction standards related to smoke prevention and control was successfully held at the Institute of Building Fire Protection, Chinese Academy of Building Sciences, organized by the Technical Committee for Fire Protection Standardization of Construction Projects of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development (hereinafter referred to as the "Fire Protection Standardization Committee of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development") and the Building Fire Protection Professional Committee of the China Engineering Construction Standardization Association.
Liu Bin, Secretary General of the Fire Protection Standards Committee of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development, Sun Xuan, Deputy Chairman of the Fire Protection Technology Committee of the Science and Technology Committee of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development and Director of the Building Fire Prevention Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Building Sciences, and Liu Wenli, Deputy Secretary General of the Fire Protection Standards Committee of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Rural Development and Deputy Director of the Building Fire Prevention Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Building Sciences, attended the meeting. Huang Xingxian, General Manager of some housing and urban-rural development departments, design institutes, scientific research institutions, and Roda skylight, was invited as a representative of a leading enterprise to attend the conference.
At the meeting, Huang Xingxian proposed Roda's viewpoint on smoke exhaust systems: smoke exhaust systems are a major issue related to the safety of people's lives and property, and the reliability of the system is the key. In order to effectively improve the quality of industry products, it is recommended to implement a lifelong product responsibility system, provide policy guarantees for the development of high-quality products, encourage leading enterprises to accelerate relevant technological research and development, develop and produce more scientific, effective, and reliable smoke exhaust facilities, effectively drive the high-quality development of the industry, and protect people's lives and property.
